The Babcock Ranch in Charlotte and Lee counties was the largest purchase to date for Forever Florida, a program that buys environmentally sensitive land. Now, land clearing is underway for a mixed-used development by Kitson & Partners, which envisions nearly 20,000 homes and 6 million square feet of commercial and office space.
